Georgia 💖

December 28, 2016

I decided to take a trip through Georgia after visiting my Grandpa’s grave in Waycross.

After Waycross I stopped in Savannah. What a beautiful city! Blessed to say where my roots come from. Where y’all and darlin’ are so natural. My heart felt home ❤️

I only had a short amount of time so I packed in what I could. Here I recommend the top ten things to do.

As far as lodging goes I recommend East Bay Street. There are a lot of big name hotels but there are some really cute small places along here. Check out where I stayed – perfect location.

I also included links to shop my looks because many of these cute winter items are on sale now. And I mean on sale!
To do:

1. Wormsloe Plantation

You can shop my look here where everything is on sale: Dress , Blanket Scarf , Boots

2. Gumbo and tour at the Pirates House – recommended by my brother!

3. Sight seeing on east Bay Street – rocking the LV scarf from my Mom😍

4. Shrimp and grits at Jazz’d – Tuesday through Sunday they have live music. I went on a Monday, so can’t exactly say I got enjoy it but the food was great! And don’t forget dessert – the torte is amazing.

This is a new skirt my mom got me for Christmas. You can get a similar one here Skirt , Off the shoulder Body suit

5. Leopold’s ice cream!! Family owned since 1919. Be ready for a wait. But one that’s so worth it! They have sorbet for those who are gluten and dairy free too.

6. The gorgeous Bonaventure cemetery

7. Majestic Oak – the oldest oak tree in Georgia. The pics just don’t do it’s beauty and uniqueness enough. I’d say this alone is worth the visit.

Shop the look: Leggings , Amazing V neck T , Booties , add a chunky necklace
8. Cathedral at Saint John’s

9. Funky Brunch Cafe – this place is so cute!! Each table has its own grill to cook your pancakes. And they play 70s music so don’t forget your dancing shoes 🙂

10. And lastly, save some leftovers to bring to Forsyth Park and feed the hungry. The homeless are so nice, so welcoming and so grateful. It’s a beautiful walk and good exercise after that meal!

A couple other restaurants :

Chive Sea Bar – I had the Sea Bass it was amazing. For the gluten free and dairy free-er’s, the risotto was a great alternative!!

And Flying Monk noodle bar – pho soup or for the gluten and dairy free the na na noodle with rice noodles and shrimp

Seek God, set goals, focus intentionally, accomplish humbly, give Him all the glory.

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.
