It’s built. It’s made in the trenches. Sometimes it feels good. Sometimes it hurts like hell. Sometimes it’s uncertain. Sometimes it’s the most certain thing in the world.
It will change you. Wreck your world. Cause to look within. And make you a better human.
Sometimes it’s the giddy feelings. Sometimes it’s a fight to hang on.
Sometimes it’s beautiful. Sometimes it’s unorganized, chaotic and messy.
It’s forgiving when you think you can’t. It’s loving when you don’t feel like it. Sometimes it’s natural. Sometimes it’s a choice. Sometimes it’s doing the right thing when you have every reason not to.
It’s humbling. It doesn’t make sense. It’s the realest thing any of us have.
Amongst the rollercoaster ride, it never, ever fails. The Bible says:
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
