BEAUTY Save vs. Splurge

You guys asked for it! Thank you! I am so happy I took the time out to do the research and see about some OPTIONS to some of the beauty favs.

We all LOVE make-up, from blushes, to eye shadow to lips and mascaras. But we know there are so many choices!  In reality, make up is actually an area you can save versus splurge.  For instance, did you know that L’oreal also owns the beauty lines Lancome, Maybelline, Garnier and Urban Decay. And Estee Lauder owns the beauty lines we know as MAC, Clinque or Bobbi Brown.

As I took a deep dive in to this I found some great beauty dupes you will LOVE learning about. My favorite is the LA girl lipliner! Perfect dupe to the MAC and Haus Labs.

I also found dupes to my FAVORITE Charlotte Tilbury nude lip combo.

Iconic Nude DUPE Natural

Kim KW DUPE Blushing Beige

Tarte Eye Shadow Palette in bloom VS Amazon Milani Most Loved Eye Shadow palette. This is a GREAT dupe option, as you can see from the thousands of five star reviews. This palette offers 12 full color matte shadows with high pigmentation.

Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara VS L’oreal Paris Voluminous Extra Volume Collagen Plumping Mascara. These are both are excellent mascaras but if you are looking for savings the L’oreal Brand performs just as well. My mom has actually been wearing this since before I was born and I have been wearing it since I’ve started wearing make up.

HAUS VS L’oreal. The HAUS has a very sharp point and is really a spectacular product. However, if you are looking for everyday wear and something that works just as good but maybe not as fancy, the Loreal smudgeproof and long wearing is a great option.

HAUS VS LA GIRL Perfect Precision – available in 15 shades, last all day

Charlotte Tilbury VS Revlon. I have not tried the CT yet, because I just couldn’t bring myself to the price. But I can tell you I get asked constantly about the Revlon Lip Gloss. It is $5 of PURE goodness. It boosts shine while moisturizing and comes in a variety of colors.

Hourglass VS Revlon SkinLights Prismatic Highlighter Daybreak Glimmer. I have them both and they are both great. A HUGE price point difference. With the hourglass I like that you can also use it as a bronzer or even the lighter colors as an eye shadow, but you say for it. The Revlon has refined pearls containing saturated pigments that capture the light for multi-dimensional highlights in true to life color. It is beautiful and you cannot beat the price!

NARS VS L’oreal Paris Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush. They are both great and both very comparable in performance. The Loreal is effortless application. It is a satin blush that instantly gives cheeks a healthy, radiant color. Sweep it where the sun naturally hits your face to enhance cheek bones with luminous color & give skin a natural, healthy glow.

NARS VS L’oreal Paris Cosmetics True Match Lumi Bronze IT Bronzer for Face & Body- super sized and comes in a variety of sun-kissed shades, formulated in 3 shares from light to medium to deep skin tones.

IT cosmetics VS Physician’s Formula – nicknamed the “Healthy Foundation”- A long-wearing, buildable and breathable foundation that provides lightweight, medium coverage with a healthy, satin finish. Brightens, hydrates and evens skin tone.

Trish McEvoy VS Maybelline Lasting Fix – This translucent setting powder locks in your makeup look, minimizes shine, and achieves a matte finish that lasts all day long.

Charlotte Tilbury VS Physician’s Formula Natural Defense Setting the tone ( flower beauty porcelain)- can be used for cheeks, eyes or lips ; effortless color to blend and provide the appearance of an ‘all natural’ look.

Smashbox Skin Flawless Concealer vs Elf 16 hour concealer  – I watched so many youtubers talk about these two concealers and was so impressed with the reviews od the e.l.f. product. Coming in at around $6 its worth the risk! I too noticed it was very comparable.

Brushes are a ‘must have’ and every Brand seems to make them.  My ‘Go To’ are the BS-Mall Make up Brushes Premium Synthetic 14 pieces.  This selection includes 5 Big Kabuki brushes, 9 precise eye make up brushes- soft but firm to apply make up and best of all the bristles DO NOT fall out and comes in a variety of colors.

We all splurge on things sometimes but if you want true savings an beauty products, these are ‘must haves’ with an affordable price tag, so let’s go shopping……
