Dear Coaches, Teachers, Home School Parents
Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!
From as early as I can remember my teachers have been my world.
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day, make sure to check out my Instagram @tiffanyallison7
Elementary School Teachers
Mrs. Yvonne received me as an infant when my mom had to go back to work. Miss. Carla taught me the alphabet and numbers. Miss. Tammy was my daycare teacher. Mrs. Brenda was my bus driver. Ms. Definitely Ms. Clements, my third grade teacher with the patience of a saint. And that was just elementary school.
And then there was middle school
Mr. Calhoun, Ms. Newmans. High school, college. I remember them all. What they look like. Their voice. Their kind, beautiful, patient hearts.
And then there was my coaches. Heather and Steve. Coach Autrey.
As students and student athletes, we spend so much of our time with these people. Sometimes more time than we spend at home.
Taking time to reflect and honor our Teachers for Teacher Appreciation Day
As I take time to reflect, I am humbled in appreciation. I can tell you I wasn’t the easiest. I was a little rebellious and hard headed at times. But they loved me. They helped me. Me teachers taught me. My coaches disciplined me, when necessary. It brings me to tears to think about these beautiful hearted people who CHOSE to make a difference in the lives of others and live their lives in one of the most challenging unpaid jobs, ever.
If you are a coach, teacher, home school parent, thank you. Your future students and children thank you.
